Welcome
Saffron Bakery first opened its doors in Tai Tam on Hong Kong Island’s south side in early 2002. Five shops and a central kitchen later, the business has changed quite a bit from the early days of frantically making muffins and cookies for the seemingly unending stream of children coming in the door. Our repertoire now includes a wide range of pastries both savoury and sweet, novelty birthday cakes, all natural breads and bagels, and of course every possible American cookie you can dream of!
Our café bakeries in Stanley (licensed), The Peak, Gold Coast & Square Street (Sheung Wan) do breakfast and lunch, as well as a full range of deli products including organic salads, jams, spreads, olives and other condiments made in our central kitchen.
The philosophy we stand by is simply that food should be freshly made, every day, with the highest quality all natural ingredients. No chemicals, no preservatives, ever. That’s it – just real food!
At our Peak Café, Gastropub and venue we are licensed to sell alcohol and are now open 7 days a week from 8am-11pm (later on weekends) . We also host private parties for kids and adults as well as hosting dj’s bands, literary and many other events.
What other café in Hong Kong gives you free internet access at no cost without the need for passwords and choice of magazines to read?
